Every home is a man’s castle, but in this project it really was a CASTLE !
Craigdarroch Castle was built in 1887 – 1890 in Victoria, BC and has been extensively renovated over the years.
The 20,000 ft2 StreetPrint installation was completed in the spring of 2010 in the Ashlar Slate pattern in Sierra colour.
Once the decision was made to use StreetPrint with StreetBond coating, the design was turned over to the Craigdarroch Castle Historical Museum Society who worked with Square One Paving Ltd to make the pattern and colour choices. Ashlar Slate was chosen for the pattern and it was decided that Sierra was a close colour match to the sandstone castle.
With 140,000 visitors per year this has proven to be an excellent choice showing no wear to date.
